ARECA Auto BTS Site Alarm Manager is equipped to control & monitor the power supply to load. The switching is done automatically or manually while taking necessary pre-cautions of levels

• Start the prime mover after a predefined time of commercial power failure or in case of maintenance.
• Monitor the output of the alternator for stabilization of voltages and frequency.
• Transfer the load.
• Monitor the fuel level in the prime mover and indicate to O&M centre.
• Monitor the engine of prime mover cylinder pressure to identify the fault in case of generator not producing the output. (The fault can be with prime mover or alternator).
• If the generator is placed in an acoustic enclosure, it monitors the temperature of the enclosure and the difference of outside and inside temperatures.
• Monitors the starter battery health.
• Stops the prime mover whenever power is not required.

Automatic intermission
Generally generator used in these areas is not rated for continuous operation. The APP can be run for certain number of hours and it needs to be shut down for a given period before it is restarted. Auto BTS Site Alarm Manager controls these timings and these timings are user programmable.

Automatic maintenance running
Sometimes the generator may not be required for weeks together. However, if the prime mover is not run for long periods there are chances of the piston in cylinder to get stuck/sticky. Hence the generator is run for some time whether it is required or not once in few days. This period is settable and the Auto BTS Site Alarm Manager takes care of these maintenance runs.

Hysteresis in switching ON/OFF
Being a mechanical device with sufficient inertial the prime mover of the APP takes time to totally shutdown and to start over again. The Prime mover should not be given rapid commanded to start/stop. A programmable hysteresis in terms of minimum ON time is provided in Auto BTS Site Alarm Manager .
